It's becoming a tradition that we try to get together with our friends, Brandon and Nancy, whenever they're in town for a holiday to see Brandon's side of the family. We were even graced with the presence of Nancy's brother, Rick, this time.
We wanted to try something different this year, so we headed to downtown Springfield. We had dinner at Big Whiskey's, which was delicious! (I recommend their White Bean Spin Dip. Spinach dip with a kick!) The weather was fabulous, so we walked over to Ernie Bigg's Dueling Piano Bar after dinner. I put in a request for a Jimmy Buffet song that I knew Nancy liked and told them it was her birthday. She got dragged on stage and we all sang to her. It was pretty funny! A good time was had by all!
