Ka-boom!

Ka-boom! That's the word Brandon and I worked on while waiting for the big fireworks to start on Monday night in Battlefield. My good friend, Renee, and her daughter, Chloe, invited us to join them (along with Melanie, Paul, Jordan, and Gavin) at the Battlefield fireworks display. We were both husbandless that night since Chris and Rob both had to work, so I was tickled to be invited!

Battlefield put on a great event. There were free bounce houses and free funnel cakes! Plus, it's a great location. The park is surrounded by neighborhoods, so we got to see lots of fireworks all around the park before the big show started. And the big show was a BIG SHOW! We were sitting so close that we just laid our heads back and watched it all above us!

B's first time in a bounce house. He loved it!
Requisite glow sticks for July 4th!
I made a new treat for the holiday weekend. Brandon just licked the chocolate off. Go figure...

Chocolate covered strawberries with blue sprinkles
A bonus of the weekend...I got help mopping the kitchen. He totally went to town and did the whole floor! I even discovered I could remove a portion of the handle and that made it the perfect length for him! (Of course, I discover this after I took photos!)

Watching some tv with Dad before he goes to work
And here are a couple cute shots of the little guy on our bed. He's finally learned how to climb up on his own. He surrounds himself with the pillows and then hands us the remote to turn on Toy Story. (We quote that movie all the time now.)

Cheese!
