I knew it would happen if I took some of my too-big-when-I-had-Brandon maternity clothes to consignment. I should have known it was coming when 7 weeks ago, my friend, Nancy, asked if I was because she just had a hunch that one of her friends was pregnant. I should have known it was coming when the ladies at the chiropractor's office were teasing that they just needed one more woman to be pregnant to make the it-happens-in-three's complete.
After being 4 days late, we took a test (or two) at the end of August, and sure enough, I was prego! And like clockwork, the morning sickness started a few days later. We went to the doc at 8 weeks and, sure enough, he confirmed it too.
Here's how we told family on Labor Day weekend at Grandma Roselea's house...
I made the shirt with a template and bleach. I thought it came out pretty cute! I attempted another bleach shirt before this one, but it didn't come out near as well. Lesson learned...definitely use lighter colors if you do this sort of project.
As of right now, I'm 9 weeks along. We know some people wait until after the first trimester to tell people. but with my morning sickness, it's near impossible to hide it!
